About Us – The Story Behind Unibox
Once upon a not-so-fair world, where many women are left behind—especially those pushed to the margins—we decided to flip the script.
Unibox was born out of Gender Hub Azerbaijan’s Woman Bazaar, a vibrant 2-day festival where disadvantaged women—internally displaced women, young mothers, women with disabilities, survivors of violence—could showcase and sell their handmade products. The atmosphere was magic: full of color, connection, and creativity. But when the festival ended, so did the opportunities. Two days a year just wasn’t enough.
So we asked ourselves: What if this support didn’t end with the last customer walking out of the bazaar? What if we created something sustainable?
And just like that, Unibox came to life.
We’re a social business powered by a community of changemakers who said enough to inequality and yes to building something supportive. Every Unibox is a love letter to resilience – a curated box of handcrafted items made by women who’ve faced adversity and turned it into art, skill, and economic power.
But this isn’t just about cute gifts (though, trust us, they’re adorable). It’s about equipping women with tools to grow—through our “Growth Package” initiative, we provide mental health support, leadership training, and business know-how. When you choose Unibox, you’re not just shopping – you’re starting a ripple effect of change.
